Visioning Process
Our mission at David Prouty High School is to provide a safe and supportive environment that challenges students to fulfill their academic, intellectual, creative, and social potentials. It is our goal to prepare students for life-long learning, workforce success, higher-level academics, and active citizenship where students have respect and appreciation for diversity among all people.
We are thankful to the roughly 200 students, staff and faculty of DPHS and residents in the communities of Spencer and East Brookfield for their assistance in this important process. Our work together included:
- Online survey
- 5 visioning workshops
- 3 community meetings
- 2 student workshops
- Individual interviews and follow-up discussions.
The schematic design emerged from this work and careful School Building Committee deliberation.
It all began with a discussion of our vision for DPHS:
